Soul Eater

Soul Eater

You stand stock still
and cup my soul in your hands,
seal my lips with your Mona Lisa smirk,
yellow eye shadow, red lips, mascara smeared,
your veil lifted by a warm breeze that cuts through the blinds,
slices through my Achilles tendons; you sneer
and the fluorescent tubes flicker-flicker;
the windows shatter into sand;
and you have your fill.
